Care Tips to Extend the Life of Dentures

False teeth, or dentures, are removable appliances that help many people eat and smile with confidence. Care tips for extending the life of dentures include: Handle them carefully — always fill the sink with water or place a towel down when handling dentures. Remove and rinse after eating. Brush daily with a soft-bristled brush and denture cleaner — not regular toothpaste. Soak overnight in water or a denture-soaking solution. Rinse before putting back in your mouth. See your dentist regularly for checkups and adjustments. Avoid hot water, which can warp dentures. With proper care, dentures can last 5-7 years or longer before needing replacement.
