Different Types of Dental Veneers

Dental veneers are thin shells of porcelain or composite resin placed over the front surface of the patient's teeth to improve their appearance. Several types of dental veneers are available. Porcelain veneers are the most popular, offering superior aesthetics, durability, and stain resistance. Composite resin veneers are less expensive and can be applied in one visit. No-prep or minimal-prep veneers (like Lumineers) require little to no removal of tooth enamel. Palatal veneers are used on the back of upper front teeth to repair damage from acid erosion or bruxism. Your dentist will help you choose the right type based on your specific needs and budget.
