Do Dental Veneers Feel and Work Like Real Teeth?

Dental veneers help patients achieve a picture-perfect smile. When installed correctly, veneers feel just like your real teeth. Veneers are bonded directly to the existing tooth structure, so they become part of your tooth. The sensation is similar to your natural teeth since the veneer is very thin. During the adjustment period of a few weeks, some patients notice the veneers feel slightly different, but this passes. Veneers function just like natural teeth — you can bite and chew normally, though you should avoid using them to bite very hard foods. Porcelain veneers look exceptionally natural because they reflect light similarly to natural tooth enamel.
