What Is the Process of Getting Dental Veneers?

Dental veneers are quick dental restorations that can renew your smile. The veneer process typically involves two to three visits. At the first visit, the dentist evaluates your oral health and discusses your goals. If you are a candidate, they will prepare your teeth by removing a thin layer of enamel (about 0.5mm) to create space for the veneers. An impression or digital scan is taken and sent to a dental lab. Temporary veneers may be placed in the meantime. At the second visit, the permanent veneers are fitted, adjusted, and permanently bonded to your teeth. With proper care, porcelain veneers can last 15-20 years.
